Welcome
The Australian and NSW Governments have invested $292.02 million in health care for the Lismore region, which has seen the delivery of an expanded hospital with greater capacity and capability to deliver on the health needs of the local community.
The important upgrade works got underway in 2014 and have been delivered in stages, to ensure the hospital remained operational and open to patients throughout construction.
The construction works have seen the delivery of two new hospital towers and a helipad as part of the hospital expansion and a multi-deck car park.
The project is in its final stages, with refurbishment works now underway on the original buildings. These works are expected to be complete in 2022.
The NSW Government has invested $231.77 million in the Lismore Base Hospital redevelopment, with the Australian Government contributing $60.25 million to stage 3.
